Karen Schwalbe is the current Executive Director of the Massachusetts Farm Bureau Federation (MFBF), a non-profit organization that advocates for farmers and their families throughout the state of Massachusetts. She has been with MFBF since 2022.
Before joining MFBF, Karen worked as the Executive Director of the Southeastern Massachusetts Agricultural Partnership for seven years, where she gained valuable experience in agricultural advocacy and outreach. Additionally, Karen is a 4-H leader, which is a youth development program that helps young people build skills in leadership, citizenship, and life skills through projects and activities. She is also a member of the Falmouth Agricultural Commission, which is a town committee that advises the Falmouth Select Board on agricultural issues.
In her personal life, Karen raises Nigerian Dwarf goats, which are a breed of small dairy goats that are known for their high milk production and gentle disposition.
