MFBF BOD Worcester County Representative

Heidi Cooper serves as a member of the 23-person board of directors for the Massachusetts Farm Bureau Federation (MFBF), a non-profit farming advocacy organization representing nearly 6,000 family members across the Commonwealth. In this capacity, she assesses the overall direction and strategy of MFBF.

Cooper didn't grow up in agriculture but after spending years in corporate offices in management roles she decided to branch out and join the farming community. With 10 years of experience managing farm stands and CSAs for fruits & vegetables, meat, and dairy, she now works at Lilac Hedge Farm, where she brings her "corporate work" experience together with her newly acquired knowledge of local food and farming.

She and her husband, James, have three children (ages 8, 6, and 3). Cooper has a passion for local food of all types and enjoys growing fruits and veggies at home in her gardens to donate to folks in her local community.
