MFBF BOD Martha's Vineyard Representative

Dan Martino serves as a member of the 23-person board of directors for the Massachusetts Farm Bureau Federation (MFBF), a non-profit farming advocacy organization representing nearly 6,000 family members across the Commonwealth. In this capacity, s/he assesses the overall direction and strategy of MFBF. 

 

In 2014, Martino co-founded Cottage City Oysters, the first open ocean shellfish farm in New England. 

The 4-acre aquaculture farm is located off the coast of Oak Bluffs, Martha’s Vineyard and is an internationally recognized pioneer in oyster husbandry, regenerative farm techniques, and academia scientific partnerships. 

 

Martino serves as president of the newly formed Dukes County Farm Bureau chapter and holds a BA degree in media arts from The Art Institute of Houston.
