The Massachusetts Farm Bureau Federation (MFBF) Board of Directors has decided to host the organization’s 105th annual meeting virtually in order to meet social distancing guidelines put into place by the Commonwealth. While it is disappointing to be unable to meet in person, this was the best option for the health and safety of
attendees.

To allow this meeting to run smoothly, some changes have been made to the event. First, the event will be one day, Friday, Dec. 4 starting at 8:30 a.m. online. There will be no Thursday workshops or events. The Friday online event will be the business meeting of the MFBF delegates and as such, there is no need to register. Your county Farm Bureau will submit your name and information as a delegate. MFBF is encouraging county Farm Bureaus to gather at predetermined locations on Dec. 4 in groups known as caucuses. A predetermined person, known as the caucus chair, will be responsible for reporting the group’s votes via the chat function of the online platform. Your county Farm Bureau should inform you of your caucus location and who your caucus chair will be.

Please also keep an eye on your email in case further social distancing measures are put into place this winter and the caucuses are no longer able to gather. We hope to keep everyone safe and conduct the necessary annual business meeting of MFBF in a manner that keeps everyone safe and healthy.
