Farmers are invited to submit nominations for Massachusetts Farm Bureau Federation’s 2021 Farm Dog of the Year photo contest, which is made possible through support from the Pet Food Institute. The goal of this contest is to bring awareness to the farm dogs in Massachusetts, who work alongside their owners on family farms.
Entries are due Dec. 15, 2021
To enter, please email Katelyn Parsons at email@example.com with your full name, full mailing address, email address, a short bio on your dog that includes their name, age, and gender, and at most three photos of your farm dog. In one photo, the dog must be helping on the farm.
For the 2021 contest, the Massachusetts Farm Bureau Federation, with support from Pet Food Institute, will recognize a grand prize winner as MFBF’s Farm Dog of the Year.
Prizes provided by the Pet Food Institute will include pet food gift cards, collapsible bowls, pet food scoops and potentially other items!
For selection of Farm Dog of the year, photos will be shared on the Massachusetts Farm Bureau Federation’s Facebook page, where everyone can like the photo of the dog that they believe should be Farm Dog of the Year. For the categories listed below, MFBF staff will vote on the dog photos to select the winner of each category. Judging of the contest will be based on nomination materials submitted. Desired attributes in farm dogs are appearance/healthfulness, helpfulness to the farmer and his/her family, and personality.
Contestants agree that the sole and final judgement as to all matters concerning the contest and interpretation of contest rules are at the sole discretion of the Massachusetts Farm Bureau Federation, and their officers and staff.
Photos will be judged by MFBF staff in the following categories.
- Best Dressed
- Hardest Worker
- Best Napper
- Best Buddy
An overall winner will be selected via MFBF’s facebook with the most reactions to a photo deeming it the winner.
No purchase necessary to enter. Void where prohibited. By entering, entrant agrees to be bound by the official rules outlined in this document.
